Watching Batman Forever.
It’s been a while!
Change is coming:
As you may have noticed, we haven’t posted much for a while now. It’s becoming harder and harder to think of good ideas for the crossover/ parody idea, Scott and I are both finding ourselves doing darker, less comical illustrations.
We will carry on with the current theme as and when inspiration strikes, but I personally feel that we need to expand our scope (still keeping with the Batman theme).
The plan as it stands:
- A new name; I never really liked ‘the Batman Collaboration’, it’s uninspired and clunky, but I was eager to get it going back when we started, so it stuck. It’s also never been much of a collaboration, it started with us both doing our own interpretations of a Victorian gentleman style Batman, and there was the Freddy vs Jason thing.. Otherwise it’s just been a few sporadic pictures of Batman as a fat guy or crossed with another superhero.
- New projects; I know Scott has something in mind for his new direction, I’ll leave that up to him to tell you guys about or whatever. Myself- I’ve started working on a rogues gallery project. This involves illustrating the most despicable denizens of Gotham’s underworld through various styles and media, and redesigning some of the villains I find less fitting with the style of Batman- including physical redesigns and my own interpretations on their backstory to make them more fitting nemesis for the Dark Knight.
- Organisation; I intend to add tag links to the page. Either by project, artist or both.
- Layout; Maybe just a new background and display picture, maybe more… We shall see.
Thanks for checking us out and sticking with us, everyone.
I’ve been thinking
This isn’t much of a collaboration anymore, maybe it’s time for a change of name, I’m also considering expanding the modus operandi of this blog, starting with adding to it some artwork of my own of Batman’s rogues gallery. Some will just be illustrations, some redesigns… I’ll still do crossovers as inspiration strikes, and still have a few awaiting the scanner ;)
Mark Hamill as The Joker by Matt.
So here it is. My little tribute to Mark Hamills time as the voice of The Joker.
A rather large package just arrived for me…
Oh I do wonder what’s inside…
Oh yes, Batman: Arkham City Collectors Edition!
But unfortunately it’s a birthday present, so I’ve gotta put it back in the box and make it look like I haven’t even touched it :(
Shown with the latest issue of Batman for scale.
In light of the news that Mark Hamill will no longer lend his vocal talents to the Joker
I’m working on something special, I’ll post it here as soon as it’s finished and I find a means to transfer it that will make it look it’s best here.
I swear a few months ago he said the rumour he wasn’t gonna do the Joker anymore were bull :(
WHAT!? NO! HE DID SAY IT WASN’T TRUE.
A sad day for all. :(
I’m pretty much gonna share every Batman related Ben Templesmith picture, because the man is a hero!

Batman: Arkham City launch trailer!!

Watch the trailer.
Batman: Arkham City - 5 stars
Rocksteady have outdone themselves in the creation of Arkham City. The huge, sprawling super-prison of Gotham looks like something out of a dystopian nightmare. Gothic spires point accusingly at the night sky, gargoyles leer down on the alleys below and the city’s landmarks and streets look dilapidated and broken.
